I realised the life i was living was totally self destructive, however badly i wanted it to work.
The reason it was heading down the wrong path?
Money.
For 2 months i have been working about 30 hours a week, all night shifts.
All the money i earned was being spent on food and rent. Nothing left over.
So i made a decision to stop living that life. Now I'm back home. Square 1.
Not gonna go into any more detail, no sop story, but this has left me with such a weird feeling. Almost like I'm thinking to myself, "what was the point in that!?"
I'm back to where i was 2 years ago. What the fuck is going on with my life!?
So anyway, this leads me to my next problem with the world.
The monetary system.
I'm gonna make a few points here.
Anyone who disagrees is an idiot, don't care who you are,
- Employment is modern slavery. The fact you have to spend half your life in work just so you can have money for food and shelter, is paid slavery. I learnt this the hard way. Surely shelter and food should be free for everyone in the whole world. After all, we are human beings living on planet earth, we shouldn't have to work to earn these things. The worst thing about this is that barely anyone can see this. Everyone just carries on going to work, spending valuable time away from family just so that they can eat and have a roof over their head. I feel like it's about time people got angry about this.
- Money is the root cause of everything negative in the world. Poverty, crime, war, greed, corruption etc. I don't care what you say to me, money brings no positives. Period. Anyone who disagrees, let me know.
- Governments do not run the world. The presidents and Prime ministers are the main puppets of the big political puppet show.
Who's in charge? The people pulling their strings.
Government borrows money from the central banks. fact.
Central banks are privately owned. Fact.
Therefore, the chairmen and directors of central banks control the supply of all money, and control government. They are the people who run the show, and they don't care about me or you.
People have to wake up and realise they are serfs to these people. Money will not make you happy or set you free.
It saddens me that i only know of very few people who share the same views.
Money has dictated my life, it has restricted me in every way, and brought me down to my knees. I'm sick of it.
Let me know your views.
Maybe I'll add more to this when i can think straight.
I know how you feel. Well, not exactly, but I feel like money is ruining my life too. It's a constant struggle to chase after it and, at the moment, I son't have much of an option. Then, despite trying my best to keep the debt levels from worsening, I get a call from the bank saying "congrats we've increased you're credit limit by £1000". WTF!
ReplyDeletearrgghh. well, i feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteSometimes i feel like i'm the only one who feels this passionate about humanity's right to freedom. we are all slaves, but most people don't even know it! we are completely controlled and manipulated by the people at the top, and they do it using money. It either holds you back, or corrupts you by feeding your greed.
Also,
nice to hear from you :)
Your not the only one who feels passionate about humanities freedom, just some disagree with where it will be found. While i agree there is some level of corruption i still feel that politics is play a bigger role than the chairmen of banks.
ReplyDeleteAs an Economics student i have a trust as studied in this system. I know, that you know, i wouldnt disagree for the sake of it but i feel that money controls what you ALLOW it to control.
I have a dream of living on minimum wage on a beach in hawaii, working a bar and running classes on surfing etc, but thats because i choose to have that dream. If you argued that schools and all other institutions teach us that money is more important than anything else (which it isnt) i would agree, but i personally, think that its down to you how much you let money rule your life. I tend to find the people that say this are often (not in your case) people who are refused extra 'loans' etc and live beyond their means rather than spending less than they earn.
For me personally it boils down to the fact that many dont work in school, dont try at work and cant be arsed with anything that doesnt involve fun and while i know its not you i know i have heard it of many people as an excuse as to why they dont earn enough, when in the days when it mattered they fucked about (sometimes too literally for their own good)
Just wanted to end saying that my examples dont apply to you and are purely my opnion.
TO
i see what you're saying.
ReplyDeleteThink about this though...
you have that dream, and it sounds amazing. I'm sure anyone would love to live that life. But what is stopping you from making that dream a reality? Why can't you go and do it right now??
This why i'm saying money just holds people back.
Then people give me the argument that money offers people incentives. I say it's a sad world when people's incentives lie around money, and not around family, friends, people and the universe.
Trust me, if we lived in a world with no money there would be nothing wrong, and humanity would advance beyond our current comprehension.
But without money or any currency, be it cows etc, we would find something of value to trade as its in our nature to try and advance our situations. Its part of our genetic code because basically we are all in competition with each other for our genes to pass on, we look for mates in the same manner. Money would be replaced by something else and the same problems would occur.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing stopping me with that dream is my choice to save it until i feel comfortable i will be able to support my children in the future which is what life is actually all about (essentially on a basic evolutionary level), its not about you or me, its about passing on our genes and them surviving and them having the same view so their kids survive and so on.
Its subconscious and part of nature and something thats beyond impossible to control.
IMO of course.
TO
hmm yeah, this is the whole nature vs nuture debate.
ReplyDeleteIs it human nature to be greedy and competitive, or is it the environment that creates that. Personally i think it's the environment and the way we are brought up.
From an early age we learn about status and money. Every kid dreams of being rich. Kids at school get asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" not "who do you want to be when you grow up?"
I think it's human nature to be compassionate to the rest of humanity, and with the competitiveness our society creates, we have forgotten the true meaning and feeling of unconditional love.
Humans aren't agressive or competitive. we don't have to be. we don't live in the wild. the society we have created makes us agressive and competitive.
As for finding something else to trade... It was like that in the past because resources were scarce. people didn't know how to tap into the earth and maximize resources. the technology we have now can do that. we could easily share out the earth's resources in abundance with everyone on the planet. In fact, there'd be loads left over. So the concept of trading, and the concept of a monetary system is sooo outdated. There's no need for it anymore.
Zeitgeist talks about this.
I suggest you get on it and watch them both!
The Venus Project is the way forward!!
ReplyDeleteYES VENUS PROJECT!
ReplyDeleteYes,, it is true that money is controlling majority of things in a life however at the same time i believe that we allow it to control. You are the creator of your own and master of your own so control/master in such a way that money not ruin your life or i would even say that don't be controlled by money else you control money.
ReplyDeleteEvery one has their own perspective of looking at things. I appreciate your articulation of freedom however i also believe that such situation will never come when you have free shelter and food. Nothing is free; everything you get/received, you have to pay it back in different modes as applicable from time to time.
Wish you all the very best.
